Education and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field

2+ years operations experience
-
2+ years experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting
-
BS in science, MS or equivalent, with experience in the biotechnology space

Duties:
-
Create and manage budgets
-
Define company policies and implement training
-
Monitor internal HR systems and ensure compliance
-
Oversee hiring objectives and job description creation
-
Stay on top of employment trends, legal issues and best practices
-
Purchase software or other tools to improve department efficiency
-
Administrative work related to contracts or insurances
-
Supporting the CEO in organizational matters
-
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel)
-
Refined ability to delegate responsibilities and provide leadership and training to key personnel
-
Advanced written and verbal communication skills (bilingual a plus)
-
Possession of key competencies, including conflict management, business negotiation, organization and decision-making
-
Working knowledge of QuickBooks and CenterPoint Payroll software programs
Environmental Conditions / Physical Demands:
Physical: Lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally, standing, bending, repetitive movement, etc.
Environmental: Exposure to wet lab environment, blood borne pathogens, and toxic or caustic chemical or reagents
